Application

Use biotin-16-UTP to add a nonradioactive label to RNA during in vitro transcription, so the RNA can easily and safely be detected (e.g., with a fluorescein-conjugated or enzyme-conjugatedstreptavidin). Biotin-16-UTP can replace UTP as a substrate for the following enzymes:

  • SP6 RNA polymerase
  • T3 RNA polymerase
  • T7 RNA polymerase

Product Description

Brief description: Biotin is bound to uridine triphosphate via an amide linkage.

Formula: C32H48N7O19P3SLi4
